Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro is a mid-range tablet that the Chinese company has just launched. With a large screen and 2-in-1 potential thanks to accessories, Its price is quite attractive for its properties.
The tablet market is still quite stagnant. Sales have fallen sharply in 2023 after a surge during the pandemic, and most of what will hit the market is focused on the high-end, with an emphasis on Apple’s moves with its new products for 2024. At the other end, we have a range of very low entry price for basic tasks. But the middle class is not as attractive as we would like.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro
Xiaomi tackles this segment with a tablet with a screen Multi-touch IPS with a diagonal of 12.1 inches diagonal, native resolution 2.5K (2560 x 1600 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 16:10, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a sampling rate of up to 240 Hz.

The screen is key on any electronic device and here, without being OLED, we find decent features with 12-bit color depth, Dolby Vision support, typical brightness of 500 nits, a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a screen-to-body ratio of 83.6%. It is TÜV Rheinland certified against blue light and flicker and is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Its engine is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, suitable for the middle class. It is complemented by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and for internal storage we have 128 or 256 GB, expandable using 1.5 Tbyte microSD cards. It features dual 8MP rear and front cameras.

In wireless we see Wi-Fi 6 a Bluetooth 5.2. You have the usual tablet sensors (accelerometer | gyroscope | ambient light sensor | color temperature sensor | electronic compass) and an audio system with four speakers.
Its battery has a capacity of 10,000 mAh with 33W fast charging from the USB Type-C port for charging and data. The total weight of its metal chassis is 571 grams at a thickness of 7.52 mm. The tablet is compatible with the Redmi Smart Keyboard and Redmi Smart Pen accessories, keyboard and stylus with a pressure sensitivity of 4096 levels, with which it can be transformed into a 2-in-1 and work with it on the desktop.
