The 2024 model year GAC Trumpchi GS8 is offered in a five-seat luxury version with front- or all-wheel drive and is priced between $26,000 and $34,200. The first GS8 was introduced in 2016, and the latest update was released in 2021.

The five-person version will have a cargo area that is 1120 mm wide and 2120 mm deep. The height of second row passengers is 960 mm and legroom is 930 mm.

The car will retain the same length, width and height (5015x1950x1780 mm) and 2920 mm wheelbase as the current version. A three-spoke steering wheel is installed in the cabin, the car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen.

The car will feature Executive Luxury seats with front row massage functions, heating of all seats, and four-position lumbar support for the driver and front passenger.

The new Trumpchi GS8 will come standard with blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, door open warning, rear cross traffic assist, rear cross traffic alert and emergency lane keeping features. The 2024 Trumpchi GS8 Navigator’s all-wheel drive system has been upgraded to the sixth-generation Borg-Warner, providing more torque.

The gasoline version will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0T GDI engine producing a maximum power of 252 hp. and maximum torque of 400 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive system. The hybrid version will be equipped with Toyota’s Hybrid System (THS), with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor, providing a total maximum power of 372 hp.
