Samsung has announced the launch of the Odyssey Neo G8 in Spain, the most advanced monitor in the new series for 2022, which the South Korean giant presented at CES in January and which includes two other Neo G7 and G4 models.

A step below the size of G9 and dedicated to those looking for the same technology in a smaller format (32 inches), a monitor will appear and be displayed as “Fastest 4K on the market”. And we’re talking about the first 4K monitor that achieves a 240 Hz refresh rate (actual). You already know that there are monitors with a higher refresh rate (360 Hz) and new 500 Hz are on the way, but they are limited to 1080p resolution.

The Odyssey Neo G8 panel is the same as the G9. based on technology Quantum Mini-LED from Samsung promises deep, realistic black and CoreSync lighting technology that detects colors on the screen and projects them to the back of the monitor for deeper immersion.

The rest of the features border on high levels, starting with the 1000R curvature, which together with the futuristic design shows a spectacular look. No price has been quoted, but we do not expect it to be cheap.

Other Odyssey monitors

Samsung has announced the international launch of other models in the same line:

Odyssey Neo G7. 32-inch model with 4K resolution, Quantum Mini LED technology, 165 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time (GtG). It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Quantum HDR 2000 with a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits.

Odyssey G4. The cheapest of the series will be available in screen sizes of 25 and 27 inches and native FHD resolution. Although unmatched, it features features that will please with its HDR10 flat panel IPS, AMD FreeSync Premium support, G-SYNC compatibility, and good ergonomics with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment.
