To mark Base’s 25th anniversary, the telecommunications operator announces that it will offer fixed-line internet and television throughout Belgium.

From June 3, Base will be offering landline internet and television for the first time alongside its mobile phone offering. Customers in Belgium can book everything individually or combine them for additional benefits. Each product is available separately. If you combine them, you will receive a ten percent discount.

There are two types of landline internet: limited internet (27 euros per month) or unlimited internet (40 euros per month). With limited surfing, there is a usage limit of 300 GB. You can purchase an additional 25 GB per data carrier for 5 euros. There is also a difference in speed. With limited surfing, 50 Mbit/s downstream and 5 Mbit/s upstream are possible. With unlimited surfing, the speed increases to 200 Mbit/s downstream and 20 Mbit/s upstream.

If you want to watch TV, you have two options: just the app (10 euros per month) or the app and decoder (15 euros per month). Both contain 28 TV channels and you can record and pause.

The current mobile phone offers do not change and all include unlimited calls and SMS:

  • 8 GB data limit (15 euros per month)
  • 25 GB data limit (20 euros per month)
  • 50 GB data limit (29 euros per month)
  • 120 GB data limit (39 euros per month)

Unused data can be carried over to the next month. Basic customers receive free data on the first day of every month. All prices include VAT.

Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels

Base, with Telenet as its parent company, will use two different networks to provide its fixed-line services depending on the geographical location of its customers.

In Flanders, in 2/3 of the Brussels municipalities and in the Botte du Hainaut in Wallonia, this is the cable network (Hybrid Fiber Coax or HFC) of Wyre, the joint venture between Telenet and Fluvius.

In Wallonia and the rest of Brussels (6 municipalities), Base will use the VOO/Orange (HFC) cable network, thanks to an agreement signed in 2023 allowing access to this network for 15 years.
