ASUS announced her PC NUC 14 performance, which uses a 2.5-liter chassis to implement a high-end Intel processor along with a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. This equipment deviates a bit from the concept of offering the minimum size that Intel NUC mini-PCs were born with, but the inclusion of a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card adds new options to better cover certain professional areas and allows access to technologies such as NVENC. and DLSS.

ASUS NUC 14 Performance can be purchased with a processor Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Intel Core Ultra 9 185H along with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 graphics card. Intel processors belong to the Meteor Lake series and the first reaches a maximum frequency in turbo mode of 4.8 GHz and has 24 MB of buffer memory along with six high-performance cores, six efficient cores and two low-power cores that provide a total of twenty-two threads, while the other reaches a maximum working speed in turbo mode of 4.8 GHz and has a 24 MB buffer along with six high-performance cores, six efficient cores and two low-power cores, providing a total of twenty-two threads.

Basic features of the ASUS NUC 14 Performance

As for the dedicated graphics that were available, the RTX 4060 is mid-range and aimed at running next-gen video games at 1080p, and the RTX 4070 is mid-range and more 1440p oriented. On the other hand, the computer can support up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM at 4,400 MHz.

ASUS NUC 14 Performance has four connections USB 3.2 Type-A Gen2, two USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB Type-C compatible Thunderbolt 4 port, two DisplayPort 1.4a, one HDMI 2.1, an RJ45 port for Ethernet with a speed of 2.5 gigabits per second, a Kensington lock, an SD card reader, a 3.5 mm jack connector that supports audio input and output, and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E 2×2 along with Bluetooth 5.3. The dimensions are 270 x 180 x 50 millimeters and the weight is only 800 grams.

Compared to other models like the ASUS ROG NUC, the ASUS NUC 14 Performance is a more business-oriented device, however, the features and chassis are too similar, so the NUC 14 Performance can feel like a ROG NUC without the ROG branding. ASUS mentioned that the NUC 14 Performance supports up to five 4K displays (not to be confused with a gaming desktop), the flexibility it provides, and that it’s ready for artificial intelligence thanks to the use of Meteor Lake processors.
