How will 5G spread in Ukraine?

Currently, the Ministry of Digitization is in the process of preparing for the launch and working out some technical details. A working group consisting of NKEK Ministry of Digital Affairs teams and mobile operators is working on the pilot launch of the fifth generation mobile communications. Full rollout of 5G technology may only be possible after martial law ends.

Among other things, it is planned to implement the idea of ​​changing the legislation, developing a strategy for the development of the field of electronic communications until 2030 and promoting conditions for the deployment of new electronic communications networks.

It is stated that 5G pilot projects will be launched in some cities of Ukraine in the near futureHowever, there is no talk of a full nationwide launch yet. Since 5G uses some special frequencies usually used by the military, this requires permission to initiate scientific research and technology from the General Staff. All this can only be done after martial law ends.
