Microsoft is preparing many changes for Windows 11. And most of them are focused on adapting the operating system to what he calls “hybrid work.” Changes made in Windows 11 to speed up file access, add security, and better integrate your Windows 365 cloud system Here we’ll explain all the changes Microsoft has prepared for future Windows 11 updates.

Tabs arrive in File Explorer. Rarely can such a simple addition improve the experience so much. Microsoft explains that Windows 11 will have a revamped File Explorer with automatic suggestions, favorites and tabs to work quickly from a few folders.

folders in the start menu. Windows 11 allows you to organize applications via folders directly in the start menu. It is a function that has been allowed on mobile phones and tablets for a long time and will now reach the desktop version.

Snap Layouts for touchscreens. One of the innovations of Windows 11 was Snap Layouts, which allows us to easily rearrange what we see in different windows into three columns divided by four or, for example, 80:20. Now this feature is coming to touch screen devices. And it will be as simple as swiping your finger over the option we want to put. An interface-level improvement for touch devices.

SmartAppControl. Another innovation is in the level of security. Windows 11 detects that a malicious application is trying to block other applications. This layer of security uses artificial intelligence algorithms to try to predict when an application might be potentially dangerous. Depending on the cloud, it will update its database to keep track of the latest malware or vulnerabilities that come up.

Since it is integrated into the base of Windows 11, it will be necessary to reinstall Windows to access this functionality. New Windows 11 devices will already launch with this utility built in.

Built-in Anti-Phishing. Windows 11 will be the first operating system with an anti-phishing layer. Microsoft Defender is trained to detect this and will warn users when they access a website that may be a potential phishing attack.

do not disturb mode. This is one of the business innovations. Windows 11 will have do not disturb mode to prevent notifications from popping up. It will also add a timer for the Focus function.

Advanced video calls. Microsoft includes features to improve video calls such as ‘Audio Focus’ and ‘Eye Contact’ to eliminate background noises. It will also allow us to blur the background by automatically detecting our face.

live captioning. Windows 11 will integrate live captions into all audio applications, both web-based and multi-app. It should usually be services themselves like YouTube that allow adding the ‘Live Captions’ option. With Windows 11 it will have its own engine that will allow you to use these automatic subtitles almost anywhere.

Launch directly in Windows 365. Microsoft is powering its operating system in the cloud. Soon, users will be able to start the computer directly in Windows 365 as if it were another session.

Switch to Windows 365 with a simple tab. The Windows 11 interface has been slightly revamped to integrate Windows 365 completely seamlessly. With Windows 365 Switch, users will be able to switch from Windows 11 on-premises to Windows 365 in the cloud as if switching between apps. No need to open anything, just a mouse click or a swipe and we will be taken to Windows 365 like a second desktop.

Windows 365 is offline. Paradoxically, Windows in the cloud will also work offline. Basically, we will be able to work directly in this version and the changes will be saved automatically when the connection is re-established. Instead of encountering an error, Windows 365 will run normally, but the changes won’t sync until we’re online.

At this time, Microsoft has not announced in which versions or when all this news will come. Some have already been seen in development releases and are expected to gradually appear in new betas.
