The new service will be a logical continuation of the previous functionality on the Diya portal. More than 26,500 pairs apply for marriage, choose the date, format and place of the ceremony, inform 24 Channels.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation, presented this new service at the Diia event in Zurich. According to him, the ministry is currently recruiting beta testers for the online marriage service on Diya app.
This service will be especially useful for long-distance couples and military personnel. No other country offers a similar online marriage experience, making our initiative a unique example on a global scale. Fedorov emphasized.
How will it work?
In a statement to Channel 24, the Ministry of Statistics said that the process of marrying through Diya was designed to be simple and effective.
Couples will need to apply For marriage registration through application.
After that, the system will offer a suitable date for the ceremony to be held. No later than five days after the application is submitted.
On the selected date, an employee of the electronic RAC from the unit established by the Ministry of Justice to provide digital services, wedding ceremony via video link.

Testing of the service has already started
The beta version of online marriage registration on Diya has started. This test period allows Ukrainians who participated in the trial of the service to officially register their marriages online.
After completion of beta testing, all adult Ukrainians with access to Diya will be able to benefit from this innovative service and get married online.

Let us remind you that at the beginning of the year, Ukrainians’ educational documents such as diplomas, certificates and certificates were made available in the Diya application.
