SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has officially confirmed that the fourth launch of the massive Starship rocket will take place on June 5, but this will first need to be approved by the Federal Aviation Commission. The required tests have been completed successfully.


Starship and Super Heavy were loaded with more than 10 million pounds of fuel before the fourth flight. The launch will take place on June 5, following regulatory approval. SpaceX

SpaceX plans to build a dedicated launch complex for Starship rockets. As Bloomberg reports, the new facilities will be located on the territory of the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. So far, all three attempts by SpaceX to launch the Starship prototype into Earth orbit have failed at various stages.

Previously, Elon Musk said that SpaceX will be able to launch more than 90 percent of all payloads into Earth orbit this year, and that the company’s share will rise to 99 percent after the company adjusts Starship launches. Elon Musk added that the company practically does not patent anything, so there is nothing to stop competitors from copying SpaceX’s solutions.
