Apple laptops have been very successful in single-chip Apple M systems. Of course, many people want the same thing, but with Windows. Currently, you can only run Windows with Boot Camp on such a MacBook. However, the situation may change in the near future.
Developer Arminder Singh started a project called M1 Windows. As you can imagine, the goal of the project is to run Windows on a PC with the Apple M1 SoC and then, as the author hopes, on other platforms of the company.
The project is in its infancy, but is based on another project – Asahi Linux. It has been around for a while, and its authors have been successful. So Windows M1 does not start from scratch.
However, the author does not even say the approximate date of completion. Most likely, if the project is fully completed, it will take several years. The author himself points out that success is not guaranteed.
