Apple is gearing up for a series of big announcements at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). According to Apple product expert Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) of Bloomberg, the company plans to introduce updates for a number of its key applications, as well as new features based on artificial intelligence.
It is reported that the System Preferences application will be updated in the macOS operating system. The user interface will become “cleaner” and more organized, allowing for better navigation and settings organization. Settings search will also be improved.
The PCMag source writes that Control Center in iOS will also receive an update. In addition to visual improvements, there will also be a new music widget and improved capabilities for managing “smart” home appliances.
Additionally, the Messages app allows you to animate individual words in text messages. Apple also plans to add new emoji-style Tapback icons that are sent as quick replies to messages. The Photos app will receive a UI update, and the Mail app is also expected to receive various improvements, details of which have not yet been revealed.
However, Apple’s artificial intelligence-related announcements will probably attract the most attention. New AI features are expected to be introduced specifically targeting iOS 18, including those that will run locally on the device without using cloud computing. A new integration with the OpenAI platform was also announced. Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will begin on Monday, June 10.
