Today, June 7, it’s a big day for minecraft players, and it’s the day Mojang chose to release the long-awaited new version of Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update, but they also took the opportunity to meet something they’ve announced since the beginning of the year, but haven’t had a date yet. Now available in the official launcher, although not yet in alternatives like MultiMC, now we can download and install Minecraft 1.19 and enjoy its exciting new features that we built a few days ago and you can find them here. Just over six months have passed since the debut of version 1.18, with which the deepest subsurface reached the layer -64, and at 1.19 these very deep levels will be inhabited by the biome Deep Dark, the so-called ancient cities and beyond Warden’s expectations.

Exploration between layers 0 and -64 will basically be a great challenge for the bravest adventurers, but it is not the only reason to descend into the bowels of the Earth. And it is, as we have already verified in the previous update, the possibility of finding diamonds it grows as we dig deeper. So if we need diamonds in Minecraft 1.19, we will have to expose ourselves to Warden, who will cross our path.

As for the surface, it brings us Minecraft 1.19 allies, new mangrove biome, mud, frogs and their light blocks, ship with chest and expected goat horns, a total of eight, each with its own sound. This is not a bad thing at all, although it is true that Mojang is still not fully up-to-date with its promises. I will not go into this matter further, because I have already mentioned it when reviewing the news of this new version, but I think that at the moment the company is slowing down a bit at the right time and catching up.

Be that as it may, I repeat that this is not a criticism of this update. Minecraft 1.19 brings very interesting news and I’m personally looking forward to devoting a few hours to that. And yes, in case you are interested, I really want to explore the subsoil in the search ancient cities.

Minecraft Java and Bedrock for everyone

From the beginning of the year, Mojang began to inform players that later in 2022, users who have one of the two versions, Java or Bedrock, will receive the other for free. And today, along with the release of version 1.19, It was the day the company chose to make this announcement a reality. This way, if you’ve had one of them before (and if you migrated your Mojang account to Microsoft, as we told you), you can now enjoy both.

And if you haven’t had Minecraft Java or Minecraft Bedrock yet, you won’t have to choose which version of Windows to buy, because from now on they’re only sold in a package that includes both, at a price that each version has had separately. In other words, for the price at which you could previously buy one of the two versions of Minecraft that you can use on Windows, now you can get both.

To check if you already have a new package called “Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC”, access the Microsoft Store (either through the Windows Store application or its web version), search for Minecraft and select this package in the results that appear. If you already have one of the two versions, it should turn out that you already have it, and then you should be able to install it on your Windows computer without any problems. Keep in mind, however, that if you’re using macOS or Linux, you’ll still need to use the Java version, because Minecraft Bedrock is only compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
