Intel to receive billion from Apollo to expand chip production in Ireland

At the end of April, information emerged about Intel’s talks with investment company Apollo Global Management regarding the purchase of shares in a joint venture that would finance the development of the company’s first production facility in Ireland. The deal is expected to close this quarter, and Intel will pay approximately $11 billion for a 49% stake in the Apollo joint venture.

The cooperation plan around this project is similar to the plan that Intel has partially used to build two facilities in Arizona. Financial resources of Canadian investment company Brookfield. At the same time, the Intel partner does not have exclusive business management rights, but can count on a part of the income from the products of the enterprises. The Arizona project required Brookfield to invest up to $15 billion.
