After Samsung introduced Galaxy AI along with the new Galaxy S24 series, sales of its smartphones increased significantly. The Galaxy S series remains Samsung’s best-selling Android flagship series. The company introduced the Galaxy S24 series at the January Unpacked event earlier this year. Android Headlines recently received confirmation that Samsung is officially developing the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Specifically, they found the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the IMEI database.
Samsung’s upcoming flagship: Galaxy S25 Ultra
Galaxy S25 Ultra appears in the database with model number”SM-S938U”. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, was labeled ‘SM-S928U’. The “U” stands for the US model, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra will also be available worldwide, continuing Samsung’s strategy to expand the global market for its flagship series.
Although we do not have the detailed specifications of the Galaxy S25 Ultra at the moment, we can make some predictions based on previous models. Like previous versions, the Galaxy S25 series is likely to feature region-specific chipsets. While the US version is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, Exynos 2500 chipset can be seen in other regions.
According to reports from Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to include significant camera upgrades. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have four cameras, including a 200 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP super telephoto lens with 5x optical magnification.
There is no official information yet about the launch date and price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, considering that the 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event took place on January 17, it is stated that next year’s event will most likely be held on the same dates. Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to attract great attention and set new standards in the smartphone industry. Stay tuned for updates.
