Aerospace company SpaceX continues to rapidly expand its satellite group by regularly sending Starlink devices into space. However, the number of successful landings of the first stages of Falcon 9 launch vehicles is also increasing. As part of the mission to launch Starlink satellites into orbit, which took place on Friday, the landings of the first stages of the carrier are also increasing. It was held for the 300th time.

The Falcon 9 rocket, containing 22 Starlink spacecraft, was launched from the spaceport in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on June 7 at 21:56 local time (June 8, 04:56 Moscow time). Less than 9 minutes after launch, the launch vehicle’s first stage made a soft landing on the special floating platform A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.

“Falcon 9 landed for the 300th time,” SpaceX wrote on its X social media account shortly after the mission ended. According to available data, the current launch is the 16th of the Falcon 9’s first stage in use. It should also be noted that it has been used to launch Starlink devices into orbit in 12 previous missions.

After the first stage was disconnected, the second stage of the rocket continued moving in the given direction and approximately 53 minutes after launch, all 22 satellites were successfully placed into orbit. The current launch is SpaceX’s 59th launch since the beginning of 2024. At the same time, 42 missions were associated with the expansion of the Starlink orbital satellite group, which now has more than 6,000 devices. SpaceX’s total number of orbital launches does not include the launches of its giant Starship rocket, which has made two test flights this year.
