Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is a hotbed of rumors about upcoming software updates, and this year Apple’s digital assistant Siri was the center of attention. A new leak Apple’s ContentReportedly coming from sources close to Apple’s AI projects, the app offers the clearest look yet at future Siri features for various iPhone apps.

The leak shows that Apple is focusing on improving Siri’s ability to understand natural language commands. It looks like the tech giant is training Siri with deliberately vague user requests like “I want to start a blog” or “I’m feeling nostalgic right now.”

The goal is to ensure that Siri does not need special syntax for tasks. Ideally, users won’t need to use precise commands like “turn on the coffee maker” but instead will need to say something more natural like “Hey Siri, I want a coffee.”

The leak also details Siri’s integration with at least 18 built-in iPhone apps. Here are some of the most notable moments:

  • Cell: Siri will be able to respond to the user’s voice commands to control the camera. Users can switch between video and photo modes, trigger the shutter timer, and switch between front and rear cameras using voice commands.
  • Mail: Apple has borrowed a page from Gmail by using machine learning to automatically classify emails for its Mail app. Additionally, Siri will perform tasks such as composing, sending and scheduling emails, marking emails as spam, setting reminders, summarizing emails and creating “smart replies.”
  • Photos: Apple may also offer a suite of photo editing features based on generative AI. The list of features could be similar to those found on Pixel phones, such as removing unwanted objects from photos and filling in gaps with generative AI, searching for specific photos based on people or animals in them, and applying filters. is based on artificial intelligence. .
  • Safari: Siri integration in Safari can offer web page summaries, similar to the functionality that Google Gemini offers on Android. Additionally, users can expect voice commands to create new tab groups and open custom tabs.
  • Voice reminders: Siri lets you record voice reminders hands-free. Users can tell Siri with voice commands to create a new recording, start speaking, stop the recording, assign it a specific name, or even move it to a specific folder.

In the report Apple’s Content It covers almost all of Siri’s updates, so it’s worth a read if you want all the information.

As for launch, Apple leaker Mark Gurman notes that not all of these features will be available immediately. Although some of these were announced at WWDC, their actual release may be delayed until 2025 due to software updates.
