Doctors saved Baby pregnant woman who died after being shot this weekend in Ecuador, local press reported.

According to Ecuavisa television, a 21-year-old woman was shot dead on Saturday evening in the southern city of Machala.

The victim worked with his mother at a small diner in the area.

Initial information is that a subject entered and began arguing with the now deceased. Then, apparently, the man pulled out a gun and fired against a young woman. The criminal fled the scene on a motorcycle, the TV channel reports.

The victim’s mother and neighbors called the United Security Service (ECU 911). An ambulance rushed to the scene and took the victim to the hospital, where the citizen was pronounced dead, but saved a child in the womb.

Ekuavisa noted that in the first eight days of June there were about 20 murders in Machala, the capital of El Oro province bordering Peru.

Violent events occurred in various parts of the country while the government Daniel Noboa promotes the so-called “Phoenix Plan”, designed to solve the problem of insecurity in the country.
