Asus introduces new business displays, including the Asus ProArt Display 5K.
Asus is introducing several new screens at Computex. For the business market, there is the Asus ProArt Display 5K: a monitor that focuses on high resolution and serves as a little brother to a previously introduced 8K display.
5K
The Asus ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV is a 27-inch screen with 5,120 x 2,880 pixels. Asus states that the screen covers 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and 100 percent of the sRGB color space. The screen is said to be factory calibrated with a DeltaE value of less than two and is therefore very colorfast. Asus also points to its own technology that makes the matte screen lively and without reflections.
In addition, the screen has relevant modern functionality on board. For example, it serves as a 96-watt USB Type-C dock and also has DisplayPort and HDMI on board. It is equipped with an ergonomic stand that is also height adjustable.
The Asus ProArt Display 8K PA32KCX is the big brother. Asus has already announced this.
Other screens
Asus also announces some other, less flashy screens: the Asus VU249HFI-W, VU279HFI-W and the VU34WCIP-W. These are fairly unobtrusive displays made from some environmentally interesting materials, such as 85 percent recycled plastic. We welcome this, although these days we see it more as an obvious obligation than a unique advantage.
Asus has not communicated anything to us regarding price and availability.
