Zabbix 7.0 LTS is now available. The free monitoring solution includes templates for integration with the largest cloud providers and supports native MFA.

Latvian surveillance specialist Zabbix launches Zabbix 7.0 LTS. Zabbix 7.0 LTS is available at GNU Affero General Public License Version 3and is therefore free. This means that Zabbix remains true to its business plan, where quality is prioritized over rapid growth and users pay for support rather than software. We have previously subjected this relatively unique vision to extensive analysis.

Speed, visualization and MFA

Zabbix 7.0 LTS can be used by anyone, but is primarily aimed at organizations looking for a comprehensive monitoring solution with integrated, enterprise-grade functionality. The solution includes several new features such as:

• Synthetic end-user web monitoringwhich allows you to monitor websites and web applications in different scenarios and take screenshots of the current status of the website.
• Proxy high availability and load balancingwhich allows you to safely scale the Zabbix environment with unlimited proxies and proxy groups.
• Faster data capture: Polling speed and scalability has improved thanks to asynchronous pollers. New telemetry data can now be sent before a response from a previous measurement. 1,000 concurrent checks are possible per operation. This is a major architectural change compared to Zabbix 6.0.
• New visualization options: Zabbix introduces new charts and widgets on dashboards, for visual overviews that are more tailored to what you want to measure. In addition, widgets can now communicate with each other, so one widget can serve as a data source for another.
• MFA at the enterprise level: Enterprise-level MFA with TOTP (Time-based one-time password) is included as standard in this new version.

Zabbix 7.0 LTS also offers an extensive selection of templates and webhooks that allow you to connect the platform with the leading cloud and security providers on the market. Think of Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but also Cisco, Fortinet and more.

Support

LTS stands for Long-term support and refers to the support options that Zabbix offers for (paying) customers. Zabbix 7.0 LTS has been available since June 4th and enjoys full support until June 30th, 2027. Partial support, where critical (security) issues are still being resolved, runs until June 31st, 2029.
