In Zaporozhye, artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian ammunition depot.

In the Zaporozhye region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine completely destroyed the Russian ammunition depot with a multiple rocket launcher. This is indicated in the message of the coordination platform “Defense Headquarters of the Zaporozhye region.”

The operation was carried out by the artillery of the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol. The Ukrainian gunners were assisted by aerial reconnaissance of the 5th Battalion Tactical Group of the 81st Separate Aircraft Brigade.

The military said that the BM-21 “Hail” multiple rocket launcher along with the ammunition was destroyed. The Russian army has placed a warehouse in the occupied Ukrainian settlement of Voskresenko in Zaporozhye. The 44th separate artillery brigade was formed after the start of Russian aggression in the fall of 2014.

The brigade is named after Hetman Danylo Apostol – Hetman of the Zaporozhian Army, who in the XVIII century was the head of the Hetmanate in the Left Bank of Ukraine. It is known that the brigade was armed with 152 mm howitzers “Msta-B”.

Recently, the head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Oleksandr Starukh said that there is a high probability that Russian troops will leave Melitopol and part of the Vasilivka district of Zaporizhia Oblast due to rotation. The invaders are moving in the direction of Kherson.

At the same time, the construction of defense lines continues in the Zaporizhia region, which significantly helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine to repel the invaders. Many fortifications were built on the outskirts of Zaporizhia. Source
