The Galaxy Watch FE will be the most affordable variant of the new generation of smart watches that Samsung will launch this summer. It appeared in the European retail channel and we already know its price: 199 euros.

Galaxy Watch FE, a smartwatch for the masses?

This will be the first time Samsung will use the ‘FE’ (Fan Edition) branding on a smartwatch after launching it on mobile phones with good sales success. The formula is familiar: reduce features and benefits on generic models to set a lower selling price.

The version was gradually leaked after its certification by regulators and even its activation on the official websites of various regions. It was originally expected to launch in the fall, once its older brothers were launched, but all indications are that they will all be launched at the same time. And Amazon Italy listed it as you can see in the picture, in three versions depending on the color (black, silver and rose gold) and with the selling price 199 euros.

No specifications have been announced, but from what we know so far, it’s expected to have the same design as the Galaxy Watch4. It will have a screen 1.2 inch Super AMOLED with a resolution of 396×396 pixels and its engine will be the Exynos W920 with a frequency of 1.18 GHz.

It is expected to be paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Its battery would have a capacity of 247 mAh autonomy up to 30 hours. Its chassis would be made of aluminum and could be water resistant up to 50 meters.

On the software side, it will run Wear OS with Samsung’s own layer, in this case One UI Watch 5.0. Its price will be 199 euros, according to Amazon, which is very rarely wrong about these things. We have already updated the official information.
