One of the reasons why Internet platforms such as virtual stores without a programming expert are usually designed is because of the people who set up businesses whose products have to be sold online.
This practice is known as “No code” or “Low code” and consists of building websites and applications without the need to use code lines or other technical means that are difficult for those who are not dedicated to software development. .
This is done through web-based applications and platforms that do not require downloading, where stakeholders create their own site by using highly intuitive tools based on the final visual appearance of the site.
An example of this is online platforms that make it possible to create websites by dragging windows, banners, icons or tools. It was like creating a PowerPoint presentation.
These types of technology tools are very attractive not only to entrepreneurs who want to sell online, but they are also widely used by large companies as they facilitate operations and give them more control over key aspects of the organization. For example, in an emergency, an employee of an organization may modify the information posted on the web pages without contacting the company developer.
Similarly, this “codeless” technique can be used to create websites, online stores, internal management platforms, web and mobile applications.
Another example of programming without codes is company emails, also known as newsletters mounted on platforms such as Mailchimp, where the user creates the design using the aforementioned drop-down and drag-and-drop tool. This, for example, reduces companies costs and time.
Like “No code” technologies for building web platforms without programming knowledge, “Low Code” tools have been widely used in recent years, which, although requiring programming knowledge, are very minimal.
Even this latest type of web design has been introduced many times by the same programmers as it stores a lot of code that is not necessary for their activities.
While these programming trends give anyone the opportunity to create their own website or virtual store, it does not mean that developers see their profession in danger of extinction. Many of them use these tools to create prototypes and quotes for clients. Also, it allows people to learn about programming without having to appear in a challenging, especially educational environment.
