The Meeting Owl 4+ offers a lifelike hybrid experience with a 4K Ultra HD camera, a 360-degree experience and other intelligent features.

American Owl Labs launches Meeting Owl 4+ for hybrid meetings, the successor to Meeting Owl 3. This new owl features a 4K Ultra HD camera, a 360° experience and AI-powered features to make the hybrid meeting seem as lifelike as possible for everyone. Anyone who wants to have a hyper-modern owl as a mascot in the meeting room will have to pay 2,199 euros including VAT.

New owl born

Two years ago, Owl Labs launched the Meeting Owl 3, which the ITdaily editorial team took under their wing. Unfortunately, this owl didn’t go beyond decent video and sound quality and cute owl eyes. Does the new Owl 4+ have the same genes or is it making progress?

In terms of design, the owl has been given a more modern look in dark grey and with owl eyes, so that you can switch to alternative LED lighting in highly professional situations. This owl offers more options for internet connection at home: via business WiFi or Ethernet with a USB adapter.

Meeting with Owl 4+

The Meeting Owl 4+ has a 4K Ultra HD camera under its wings that provides a 360° experience, a built-in speaker and microphone. The camera automatically focuses on the participant speaking to encourage them to join in, while the 360° view simultaneously shows a view of the room. In addition, silent switching between different Owl video and audio devices is possible when paired.

The Meeting Owl 4+ can be connected to two other Owl devices, such as an Owl Bar or a second Meeting Owl, to capture even more participants. Owl Labs also claims that the Meeting Owl 4+ is easier than ever to set up, so meetings can start quickly.

The Meeting Owl 3 was already an expensive owl with a price of 959 euros, the Meeting Owl 4+ costs twice as much and comes in at 2,199 euros including VAT.
