NASA canceled the spacewalk of International Space Station Expedition 71 crew Tracy Dyson and Matt Dominique on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
The cancellation was announced about an hour before the scheduled launch. NASA had even begun livestreaming the event when the announcement was made.
As noted on the NASA blog, the spacewalk did not go as planned due to “discomfort in the spacesuit.” Details have not been reported yet, and it is not specifically stated which of the astronauts had the problem.
In a live NASA broadcast, Tracy Dyson and Matt Dominick were seen being assisted by Sunita Williams, who recently arrived at the ISS aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
