On June 6, Apple returns with news and perhaps not-so-good news for many of its users. The company emphasized that some phones cannot update to the new operating system: iOS 16.
During the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple said that in order to download the new Software, users must have an iPhone 8 or any other iPhone released after this issue.
That means iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and original iPhone SE will not get the latest OS.
Actually, these devices were released by the company in 2015 and 2016. Since then, mobile phones have received software support worthy of Steve Jobs’ company.
However, the developers decided that due to their age, these copies will not have access to iOS 16.
“It is important to note that the first generation iPhone SE has recently been replaced by a 2022 model with the same design as the 2016 version, so if you own a 6S or SE and you love this form factor, you still don’t have to give it to him ”, the expert portal reported Boundary.

On the other hand, users with eligible devices will get new widgets for home and car, customizable lock screen, new features and improvements in Live Text and Image Search.
