Microsoft has returned an extremely useful feature of the Start menu called Jump Lists to Windows 11. It allows you to open recently used files directly from the Start menu. The function appeared in Windows 7, it was in Windows 10, but for some reason it was removed from Windows 11.
“When you right-click on the icon of a program pinned to the Start menu, you will see toggles of programs that have them, such as PowerPoint”— reports Microsoft’s official blog.
The “Quick Jump Lists” feature is designed to make it easier to find the options you need and speed up the most common operations of certain types of programs.
Currently, the Quick Jump Lists feature is only available to Windows Insiders as part of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3785 (KB5039319) deployed in the operating system’s beta channel.
