Data leak

AMD is investigating a possible data breach by the hacker group IntelBroker, which has already committed several hacks. This would affect sensitive information, including future products and customer databases.

Chipmaker AMD is investigating whether it has fallen victim to a cyberattack. The notorious organization “IntelBroker” claims to have stolen confidential information from AMD. AMD is currently working with law enforcement and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim, AMD officials told Reuters.

Potential data breach

The unconfirmed AMD data breach was revealed on the BreachForums website by the notorious organization IntelBroker, which believes it has stolen confidential information from AMD. This would include a wide range of data, such as information about future products, customer databases and financial data, according to the reports.

IntelBroker is no stranger; the group was behind the hack of DC Health Link, an American health insurance organization, among other things. The group also struck in Europe against the Europol expert platform. AMD shares fell 2.4 percent in New York trading on Tuesday.
