You finally have your new gear in your hands. You want to start enjoying it, but when you turn it on, you realize it desktop icons are not displayed on Windows. It’s a problem that makes you feel lost and you don’t know what to do to make them available again.

I have encountered this situation more than once in recent years and many users, especially those with less knowledge and basic profile, They don’t know what to do to manage icons desktop in Windows. Fortunately, this is a very simple and easy problem to solve.

What are desktop icons in Windows

Now you will only have to check the boxes of the icons to be displayed on the desktop. You can also choose the option that desktop themes can change the appearance of the icons.

If you do not have activated Windows with original license noor you can access the customization options, and therefore you will not be able to display the desktop icons according to the previous steps. The solution is to activate Windows, either by purchasing a license or by joining the Insider channel.

In this case you also have an alternative option, you can resort to creating shortcuts from the original icons on the table.
