And sound continues to be the “poor brother” of world technology. We see it on personal computers, mobile phones, televisions or tablets, where its visual and graphic capabilities are asserted, while the sound is relegated to a pair of stereo speakers with a sound that can be greatly improved and that requires the use of headphones in most cases. Lenovo has some of the most interesting mid-range and entry-level tablets on the Android platform, like the new Tab M11 under $200, but here it’s changing the pace with a model that’s more than just a tablet. Its 26 watts of power is excellent for a tablet and it also supports 24-bit 96 kHz high-resolution audio when using headphones. In addition to playing audio from the tablet itself, the Lenovo Tab Plus can be used as a Bluetooth speaker to listen to audio from other devices. As with audio, size matters to accommodate the speakers, the tablet is a bit thicker than usual at the bottom of the chassis. Many users will find this a good thing.
The rest of the features of the new Lenovo tablet speak of a mid-range model, p 11.5-inch IPS LCD display, with a native resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Its processor is a MediaTek Helio G99 with 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
It supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 and has 8 MP front and rear cameras. Its battery has capacity 8600 mAh, with a USB Type-C port for charging and data. It also has a microSD card reader for removable storage and is compatible with optional accessories including the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus (with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity) and a USB-C wall charger up to 68 watts.
