WhatsApp introduced a new feature to beta users of the desktop version that allows them to filter their conversations and only show those containing new unread messages.

The functionality has been available for some time in WhatsApp Business, a tool for businesses aimed at facilitating communication with their customers, in both the desktop version and the mobile app.

The private portal WABetaInfo is now advancing the arrival of the WhatsApp beta for desktop to version 2.2221.0 and hence the app’s standard accounts.

This new feature allows users to apply a search filter that only shows chats or conversations containing unread messages.

It is not yet known whether WhatsApp plans to add new search criteria to filter results in its app. Currently, the media adds that this new functionality will eventually come to Android and iOS beta as well.

How to access survey results

WhatsApp is also developing a new feature for group polls, which the app has been working on since last March. At the time, WABetaInfo said the app was working in group polls for iOS. In April, WhatsApp continued to develop a new interface for these and now implement the possibility of accessing results.

The environment has accessed beta version 22.12.0.73 for iOS through the TestFlight program. In this version, WhatsApp allows all participants in a group to see the results of a poll.

The most voted option is shown at the top highlighted and under the name ‘Top Option’. The rest appear in descending order of votes. All options are accompanied by the number of votes and the percentage they represent in total.

New to Windows

Another innovation that WhatsApp is working on is being distributed in beta for Windows. Specifically, in its implementation for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP). This relates to the ability to send temporary photos and videos that self-destruct after viewing.

This feature was launched among contributors with beta version 2.2221.4.0 for Windows, according to the portal. In addition, this function has been accompanied by the ability to send a voice note, which is not yet available on this platform.
