AVM is launching a ready-made mesh set that is designed to provide WiFi 6 coverage throughout the home. The key factor is the ease of installation, even if the set is not sufficient in all cases.

The new Fritz! Mesh set from AVM consists of the Fritz!Box 4060 and the Fritz!Repeater 3000 AX. Both devices together must ensure complete WiFi coverage in the home. Both devices support Tri-Band WiFi 6.

The Box 4060 works together with the Repeater 3000 AX in a mesh. In other words, the two devices together spread a WiFi network. Theoretically, the box supports data speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s and the repeater up to 4,200 Mbit/s. AVM is proud of its easy installation. You can connect both devices at the touch of a button.

In addition to WLAN support, this set also offers gigabit ports, a USB 3.0 port and an integrated DECT base station for smart homes and wireless telephony. In addition, AVM features such as parental controls, media servers, WLAN guest access and remote access via the MyFritz! account are available. App.

WiFi 6 Mesh

AVM’s mesh technology combines the individual WLAN networks of the products into one large WLAN network. This allows you to move freely around the house without losing the connection. The Box 4060 acts as Mesh Master and continuously analyzes all wireless connections and automatically connects devices to the access point with the best reception.

AVM focuses the set on home use, but provides an easy-to-set-up solution for frequent home workers with Wi-Fi problems. An additional repeater brings wireless Internet to less accessible corners.

Please note that the repeater also communicates wirelessly with the router itself. The two devices communicate via a targeted radio connection, but are also limited by too much concrete or other obstacles. In addition, an additional access point is not sufficient in all cases. With the associated app, you can optimize the position of the repeater for the best coverage. The mesh set is now available in stores for 429 euros including VAT.
