In February 2020, the Sarlakha District Court issued an arrest warrant for Bomdzhan after a case of sexual exploitation was opened against him.

A young woman accused him of raping her while she was living as a nun. at his hermitage in Pattarkot village, Sarlahi, in 2016, when he was 15 years old.

In addition, four different families filed complaints against the believer at different police stations, accusing him of murder, disappearance and sexual exploitation of his followers. Four of his followers have been missing from the Bomjom hermitages since 2011, according to police.
