Despite weather concerns SpaceX still launched its super heavy rocket Sahin Heavy with the geostationary operational environmental satellite GOES-U.
The launch was successful. The side thrusters hit the ground almost simultaneously. As is usually the case, the central Sahin HeavyIt was not returned because additional fuel was used to launch the satellite into a higher orbit. By the way, in this case it was possible to save fuel for the satellite, thanks to which its service life in orbit will increase significantly.
The next Falcon Heavy launch is planned for the end of this year. This will be crucial as the SpaceX rocket will send the Europa Clipper spacecraft to Jupiter’s moon Europa; The icy ocean here could theoretically harbor extraterrestrial life.
