During the Apple conference at WWDC 2022, which took place last Monday (07), the company broke the news about Apple CarPlay. The new version of the application promises further integration of digital displays with iOS 16. Now the application will go beyond the multimedia center, reaching the digital information panel.. Apple says it will release the update by the end of 2022.

According to Apple, the new CarPlay update will allow the integration of various displays inside the car, including a digital information display behind the wheel with information such as speedometer, gas level, and more.

The company did not reveal all the details, but said that the integration will allow full control of the car, from climate control to sound, as well as control over the data that appears on the display, such as speed, gas level and temperature. Now cars with multimedia centers and a digital instrument panel will have all the functions integrated with the new version of CarPlay. In doing so, Apple promises greater ease and control for drivers using the app.

Despite this, during WWDC 2022, Apple did not show any video showing more details about the news. We also don’t know which car models will have integration with the new Apple CarPlay. The company, however, said manufacturers such as Audi, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Porsche and Volvo are among the companies working to integrate the new app.

iOS 16 unveiled at WWDC 2022

Apple officially unveiled iOS 16 during the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference, bringing new features to the system focused on personalization, communication, and sharing. The first novelty released was a complete lock screen customization with a completely new design and features for the iPhone user.
