A survey by ITdaily shows that the majority of Belgian organizations have an internal IT team. Almost a third of IT professionals do this alone or with a colleague.
IT is a key pillar of any organization, big or small. Last month, ITdaily investigated how Belgian companies approach their IT management. Does the company have an internal IT team or is it entrusted to one or more external professionals? 145 respondents took part in the survey.
A large majority of respondents have an internal IT team. Twelve percent of respondents have IT responsibility that is the responsibility of an employee who is not employed full-time or works externally. 88 percent have at least one internal IT employee.
The average internal IT team is not much larger. Thirty-two percent of respondents have one or two IT employees. Twenty-five percent employ three to five internal IT employees.
However, larger IT teams with more than ten employees are not an exception. 21 percent say they employ more than ten IT employees. Finally, ten percent have an IT team with five to ten employees.
Every month we survey our readers on a current technology topic. Curious about the results of previous surveys? You can find an overview here.
