In the United States, July 4th is celebrated as Independence Day. It is a special day for Americans to take their Americanness on a walk with a wide variety of oddities. And in these, we see Mark Zuckerberg, who is living his best life, doing nothing but showing that something has changed in him and that the molar thing has come to him naturally.

The craziest Zuckerberg. In a display of surrealism (and a bit of recklessness), the businessman founder of Meta posted a video on his Instagram profile celebrating the nation’s birthday. The view does not go to waste.

The millionaire, dressed in a dapper tuxedo, is seen riding a surfboard over the waves with a flag in one hand and drinking a Coors beer in the other, all to the soundtrack of Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA.

“The Zuck We Deserve”. Among the comments some have received are supporters and detractors of this “new Zuckerberg.” Some have noted the millionaire’s skill on the board, stressing that he keeps his suit fairly dry despite the waves. It seems his recent purchase of a superyacht has allowed him to improve his balance.

But the most revealing comment about Zuckerberg’s recent presence on social media came from one of his followers: “The Zuck we deserve.”

A radical change in style. The Meta founder has never been particularly charismatic. But something happened in 2024. That almost robotic look of always wearing the same patterned gray T-shirt and jeans so as not to have to choose a new wardrobe every day has given way to Mark Zuckerberg wearing gold necklaces and pants. Leather jackets forging katanas on trips to Japan.

King Midas of “product placement”Those who are certainly happy (even more than Zuckerberg himself) are the marketing managers of Coors, who will surely observe a peak in sales in the coming days thanks to the free promotion they got with the millionaire’s publication.

This won’t be the first time this happens. In fact, just a few days ago, an Alicante-based sneaker brand suffered the same fate when Mark Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, posted a photo on her Instagram profile in which she appeared to be wearing one of the millionaire’s sneakers. Since then, the Alicante brand’s popularity has skyrocketed in Silicon Valley.
