As part of the fourth demonstration of the EU iMUGS project in Belgium, Milrem Robotics introduced the latest version of the THEMIS Observe combat robot, based on the THEMIS UGV modular platform focused on reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Integrated Modular Unmanned Aerial System (iMUGS) is a project that aims to create an unmanned aerial system in European standards. Its key element is THEMIS, the modular robotics system of the Estonian company Milrem Robotics, which allows you to easily expand robot options by replacing the payload modules in the general mobility and control module to perform tasks ranging from troop delivery to the deployment of remotely controlled weapons. .

The THEMIS Observe, supported by the Estonian Ministry of Defense, began as a platform for carrying and launching a tethered unmanned quadcopter, and last year the THEMIS platform equipped with a 7.62mm machine gun provided combat shooting training. In the latter case, the drone was equipped with ISR equipment, including the Z: Sparrowhawk camera from HENSOLDT, Squire radar from Thales, acoustic detection of shots Metravib Defense Pearl, Rapid Obscuring System (ROSY) from Rheinmetall and mast from Teksam Company NV.

According to Milrem, small arms could be added to the THEMIS Observe, which also includes a set of Milrem intelligent systems with functions for detecting and overcoming obstacles, crossing and navigating waypoints.
