The Air Force of Ukraine (Air Force) returned the MiG-29 fighter from the disbanded aerobatic group “Ukrainian Falcons”. This was reported by Forbes columnist David Ex.
A video appeared on the Internet showing a MiG-29 fighter with weapons in the arms of the Ukrainian Falcons. R-73 and R-27 missiles can be seen on the plane. Ex suggested that the plane was in storage, but foreign procurement of spare parts allowed the car to be reinstated.
The Ukrainian Falcons aerobatic group was founded in 1995. Pilots used MiG-29 and MiG-29UB. Flights were stopped in 2002 and the group disbanded. In 2018, two aerobatic aircraft were upgraded to the MiG-29MU1 level.
