All I have to do to see where I am is to know the city and/or open my map app like Google Maps on my phone. But what if I want create my own map to share with other people? Google lets you do this, but it’s not a very simple tool. Quite the opposite of PamPam, an interesting web app with artificial intelligence to create travel plans.

When friends or family come to Barcelona and they haven’t visited the city for a while, I usually take them on a tour of my favorite parts of the city. I usually have the routes in my head but I do it more than once. I moved the itinerary to a Google Maps route So they don’t need a guide. Adding points of interest one by one is a bit of a hassle but not complicated. That’s why I like PamPam’s offer, it’s much more fun.

Are you like me, and you have favorite places in a city and you want to mark them one by one so you don’t lose them? Exactly. Although yes, it is very different from Google Maps.

PamPam’s interface is more like a children’s coloring map than a navigation app. You can create your map by registering on the platform (it supports free usage) and adding the places marked with a “+” in the bottom right corner. What about a cafeteria that serves the best coffee in the region, a restaurant you always want to escape to on the weekends, the best place to take horizon photos? Everything fits in PamPamAnd you can customize it.

Add stickers, Emojis, descriptions to points of interest, create routes by drawing on the map, divide them into sections to meet all your interests (city center bars, places to eat, routes in the countryside…) and Create your selection directly on the cartographic map. This map is from OpenStreetMap and you can customize it with colors. The idea is to make the map truly yours.

Apart from manually adding points or drawing routes, You can import a CSV file with different addresses to add them directly to the map. PamPam also supports other formats, such as plain text or links to Google Spreadsheet. There’s also an important extra: You can chat with the platform’s AI to add places to your plan.

Looking for cafes to add to the map? Ask the AI ​​and it will suggest them to you, along with matching stickers. Routes, points of interest, and other cartographic data: The AI ​​supports speaking Spanish, although it’s not as strong as speaking English.
