Zoom introduces Workflow Automation: a new no-code solution for automating routine tasks.
Zoom is introducing Workflow Automation in beta, a no-code solution that allows users to easily set up workflows in Zoom Workplace and external applications to automate routine tasks. Workflow automation will initially be available in Zoom Team Chat, with plans to expand functionality to other Zoom products later.
Users can use pre-built templates or design custom workflows for various tasks, from automatically sending welcome messages to new team members to scheduling recurring reminders for project updates to streamlining vacation requests and collecting feedback via questionnaires.
No code
With an intuitive no-code environment and drag-and-drop interface, no technical expertise is required. Zoom aims to make workflow automation as accessible as possible for teams of all skill levels.
These are the main features of Zoom Workflow Automation:
- Task automation: Automate routine tasks to increase productivity and free up more time for strategic decisions. Consider scheduling recurring project updates and reminders to publish status updates.
- Optimized workflows: Set up step-by-step, conditional, or action-based workflows to automate multi-step processes. For example, incoming feedback can be automatically categorized based on keywords and shared across the appropriate channels.
- User-friendly control panel: The no-code drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for anyone to create complex workflows. Pre-built templates are available for common tasks, and Zoom will introduce more templates.
During the beta phase, Workflow Automation is available to Zoom users with a paid license at no additional cost. After the trial period ends, paying users can run an unlimited number of standard workflows and a limited number of premium workflows. Exceeding the usage limit will incur additional charges.
