The company announced today at an event in China Honour presented two foldable phones – Magic Vs 3 and Magic V3. They come as the successors to last year’s Magic Vs2 and Magic V2. Both devices feature a new design and significantly improved performance over their predecessors. They compete with the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 6, OnePlus Open, OPPO Find N3, and others in the market. Honor Magic Vs 3 Features

The Honor Magic Vs 3 features a 6.43-inch curved AMOLED display with thin bezels on the front, with a resolution of 2376 x 1060 pixels and a maximum brightness of 2500 nits. It has the same internal panel of 7.8 inches with a resolution of 2344 x 2156 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1600 nits. Both displays have a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and support HDR Vivid.

In terms of design, the Honor Magic Vs 3 has a slim profile measuring 9.7mm when folded and 4.65mm when unfolded, making it incredibly thin, almost like a monoblock. It weighs just 229 grams. On the back, there is a protruding rectangular camera island in black and silver, giving it a dual appearance. There is a fingerprint scanner placed next to the power button. The foldable phone is equipped with a branded Luban Titanium hinge and a steel display that provides strength and lightness.

In terms of optics, the Honor Magic Vs 3 is equipped with three main cameras. The setup consists of a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor, a 40MP ultrawide-angle lens, and an 8MP periscope with 5x optical and 50x digital zoom. The main and periscope lenses support OIS. For selfies, there are 16 and 8MP sensors on the external and internal displays.

In terms of hardware, the Honor Magic Vs 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The foldable phone draws power from a 5000mAh battery with support for 66W charging and 50W wireless charging. There is also a chip that enhances radio frequency and security for stable connectivity and privacy protection. The device runs MagicOS 8.0 with features like split-screen and more.

The Honor Magic Vs 3 is available in Qilian Snow, Tundra Green, and Velvet Black. The foldable phone is priced starting at RMB 6,999 (~$963) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB configurations are priced at RMB 7,699 (~$1,060) and RMB 8,699 (~$1,198), respectively. It will go on sale from July 19.
