It has been announced when the production of the big Dacia/Renault Bigster crossover, which will be the big brother of the Renault Duster, will begin.
“We are working on preparations for the launch of the Bigster. We will start production of experimental prototypes of the crossover in late 2024-early 2025 and start series production of the model in the first half of 2025,” said Dacia’s head of Southeast Europe.
The Bigster will be the largest crossover of the brand and will offer a version with a third row, it will also use the same units as the new Duster, including a 130 horsepower hybrid with a 1.2-liter internal combustion engine and a 48-volt starter motor and generator, as well as a version with a Hybrid 140 transmission.
Its price will start at around 23,000 euros, which is 4,000 euros more than the Duster. Road tests of the Bigster crossover are currently underway. The world premiere of the Dacia Bigster series will take place at the Paris Motor Show in mid-October.
