AI-based chatbots have reached the human brain. Brain-computer interface developer Synchron announced the integration of OpenAI-based generative AI into its brain-computer interface platform.

Such systems already used artificial intelligence, which is responsible for determining the correspondence of certain brain signals to certain human intentions. In this case, AI OpenAI makes the operation of the interface even simpler and more convenient for its carrier. Generative AI can create automatic suggestions for text messages, categorized by contextual data, including the user’s emotions. How it works, the developers showed in a video.

Synchron claims that with GPT, the system could help users compose text and even audio at the speed of normal human speech. It’s also important to note that in its development, Synchron’s chip would be implanted into a blood vessel on the surface of the brain’s motor cortex via the carotid artery using a minimally invasive endovascular procedure.
