Asus is launching NUCs under its gaming sub-brand, but the new small boxes are also interesting for creative professionals thanks to the robust graphics cards.

Asus introduces its first NUCs Republic of GamersBrand since the manufacturer took over the NUC license from Intel. The new computers are primarily aimed at gamers, but contain hardware for anyone who wants the graphics performance of an Nvidia RTX in a small case.

Specifically, these are the ROG NUC 970 and the ROG NUC 760. The most powerful configuration has an Intel Core Ultra 9, supported by a mobile version of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070. It can also integrate 32 GB of RAM and 11 TB of SSD. The recommended price for this device is $2,199.

Asus also offers USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI and DisplayPort4, WLAN and RJ45. Classic USB Type-A ports are also available.

What is striking is that the NUCs are delivered fully configured. This means that you no longer have to buy RAM or storage yourself, as was often the case with NUCs under Intel. The availability of the new devices is not yet entirely clear.

Asus equips the NUCs with Windows 11 Home, which further shows that professionals are not the main target group. If you are looking for a small and powerful box for graphically demanding workloads, you can take a look here.
