Moto G62 is a new mobile phone with which Motorola wants to conquer the middle class. And it doesn’t come by itself, because the company also introduced another model one step lower: the Moto G42.
Motorola’s “G” series is a few years back one of the best-selling in the highly competitive middle class. And it still has a good audience, even though Asian manufacturers have pushed hard on excellent features / pricing models. To strengthen the line, Motorola will launch two new models in the coming weeks.
Moto G62
The terminal is a continuation of the G52 design line, which we presented to you a few months ago. Install a good size and resolution IPS panel, 6.5 inches and 2400 x 1080 pixelsand has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is usually reserved for higher series.
It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+, a competent and proven chipset (8 ARM Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2 GHz with Adreno 619 graphics) as its engine, which also supports 5G broadband network. It is complemented by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. As for the cameras, the main one is equipped with a triple sensor (50MP + 8 MP ultra widescreen and 2 MP macro) and a front 16 MP.
The battery of this Moto G62 is 5,000 mAh and has a fast charge of 20 W. In addition to 5G, it has NFC, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and dual nano SIM, which can also be used for microSD. WITH android 12 and Motorola’s usual good software support will be available in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East “In the coming weeks”. No price was provided.
Moto G42
The second of the announced terminals is a step lower than the previous one, but it has some components that will please, such as OLED panel with 6.4 inch screen and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Your SoC is a Snapdragon 680 from Qualcomm and also contains 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The rest of the features are a copy of the Moto G62 in cameras, batteries and connectivity, except that its network support remains on 4G-LTE. It will soon be available with Android 12. It will be a bit cheaper than the previous one, but we don’t even have a sale price.
