Google seems to be a bit tired of the series of leaks regarding the specifications and design of the upcoming Pixel 9 series. The company has decided to show off the new Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold itself, without waiting for the announcement of all the next-generation smartphone models on August 13.
Google has released a couple of short videos showing off some of the features of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As The Verge reports, the video hints at the integration of AI based on the Gemini neural network, which isn’t surprising considering the announcements the company made at the Google I/O conference in May this year.
The images on the pre-order page published by Google also offer a look at the changed camera array, which ditches the edge-to-edge strip format in favor of a tablet. In contrast, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s rear cameras will fit into a square island with rounded edges.
We will recall the features that have leaked to the Internet regarding the Pixel 9 smartphone series a little more than the previous ones. As for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, this complex smartphone has become longer and has thinner frames. Its battery will have a capacity of 4560 mAh, slightly less than the previous model.
All Pixel 9 devices, except the base model Pixel 9, will support Thread and UWB wireless protocols. A new 45W Google charger will also be introduced with the smartphones.
