New generation Tamuz missiles introduced in Israel
Israeli defense concern RAFAEL presented the sixth generation of the Tamuz missile, a multifunctional anti-tank anti-optical missile.

As Ukrinform reports, Vesty.co.il reports.

The new development includes special features and a set of parameters like no other in the world.

In particular, the simultaneous launch of four missiles from an installation controlled by one operator. Missiles can fly at different distances, which allows you to destroy several targets in different places.

In addition, the missile can recognize the target using image matching technology. This is a unique algorithm in which the missile takes images of the target in flight, detects it with incredible accuracy and hits it.

It is noted that missiles of the past generation are launched at coordinates, that is, the operator must determine the location of the target and aim the missile at it. From the image to the optical and electronic sensors, “Tamuz-6” independently determines where the target is, which helps the operator to shoot at the target. The image matching option helps you choose the right target among similar objects, for example.

Another innovation is the transfer of control of the missile to the other party. In other words, if the missile was released from facility A, it could be transferred to facility B, whose control is within range.

Also a unique feature is that the missile has been increased to 50 km at which it can hit the target when launched from a helicopter, and up to 32 km when launched from the ground.

As Ukrinform reported, the Pentagon will purchase laser-guided jet ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Hydra 70 missiles can be used to hit the enemy from aircraft, helicopters and ground facilities.
