Juniper Networks introduces a multi-vendor laboratory for AI data center solutions and automated processes. The new Juniper Validated Designs (JVDs) are intended to accelerate and optimize the implementation of AI clusters.

Juniper Networks has launched the Ops4AI lab. This lab will validate end-to-end automated AI data center solutions. It works with products from multiple vendors, including Juniper, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, and NVIDIA. The goal is to maximize the performance of AI workloads by providing an open and flexible infrastructure that is easy to manage.

The lab is open to customers and partners who want to test their AI workloads with GPU computing and Ethernet-based networking. Juniper’s goal is to bring AI data centers to the mass market by avoiding vendor lock-in and long lead times.

Juniper offers additional validated designs, which are detailed implementation documents that ensure faster deployment of AI data centers. Juniper validated designs (JVDs) are thoroughly tested and based on platforms such as NVIDIA A100 and H100 Compute.

Network software improvements

Juniper continues to take the opportunity to enhance its AI-native network platform with so-called Ops4AI software extensions. Three improvements stand out:

• Fabric autotuning for AI: Automatic parameter settings for congestion management.
• Global load balancing: Real-time congestion management for better network utilization.
• Consistent visibility: A holistic network view, including Nvidia SmartNICs.
