Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company will start working in its factories starting next year. “really useful” has announced that it will use humanoid robots. Musk believes that these robots could be purchased by other companies starting in 2026.
One of the richest names in the world Elon Musk’s Every now and then we witness assertive statements on social media. Musk shared posts about robots called Optimus. In his post on X “Tesla will have really useful humanoid robots in low production next year for Tesla’s own internal use. We hope to have them in high production for other companies by 2026.” he said.
Tesla Optimus, 1.7 meters high and a 56-kilogram robot. According to Tesla’s statement, this robot will do “boring, repetitive and dangerous” tasks. The robot’s name is of course a reference to Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots in the Transformers universe. Musk introduced this robot with a costumed actor at Tesla Artificial Intelligence Day in 2021.
Musk has already built the robot before while carrying a boxpictured watering plants and carrying metal rods. In his previous statement, Musk stated that the robot will go into mass production and that its cost will be less than $20,000.
In a statement earlier this year, Musk announced that the model would be introduced on August 8, but that introduction appears to have been delayed.
