After arrest of Ismail “El Mayo” Zambada Garcia and Joaquin Guzman Lopezone of the sons of “El Chapo” Guzman, the video was released ahead of the arrest of two Mexican drug traffickers.
According to journalist Luis Chaparro, “El Mayo” Zambada landed in a King Air plane with Guzman Lopez.
He said they were met by US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents on the tarmac of a private airport in Doña Ana County, in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, US.
US security sources explained that Joaquin Guzman Lopez decided to surrender to US authorities as part of the surrender agreement, but he also took the opportunity to hand over “El Mayo” Zambada.
Two American officials reported this. Reuters What Zambada Garcia and Guzman Lopez were arrested after landing on a private jet.
Zambada, 76, is one of the most important human traffickers in Mexican history and co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel with “El Chapo,” who was extradited to the United States in 2017 and is serving a life sentence in a maximum-security prison.
After El Chapo’s extradition, his criminal empire was inherited by his four sons, known as Los Chapitos, who led his faction of the Cartel and became some of the largest exporters of fentanyl to the United States.
El Mayo and Los Chapitos are at odds because the extradition of El Chapo and the arrest of two traffickers could spark instability or even violence in Mexico. (Reuters)
